What customers say?

“ We ordered the 2-person meat set and were pleasantly surprised by how generous the portions were. We also added a sirloin steak, and despite being a party of five, it was more than enough food for everyone. The only downside was the service. It was quite slow—we had to press the service button multiple times before a server came, and on a few occasions items we requested were forgotten. Overall, the food portions were excellent, but the service could be more attentive and efficient. ”

“ First time dining here as a party of four. The restaurant was busy for dinner and perhaps staff was overwhelmed, because we found service to be a bit slow and lacking. We had to ask for most things (placing our order, getting tea poured, to get our bill, and twice for take out boxes at the end of our meal). Meal came with the traditional banchan, including braised potatoes and sprouts. The seafood pancake (Pajeon) ate light and had several large pieces of seafood. The fried chicken was served boneless, and was tender with a crispy exterior. Nice sauce variety included. Also had the Bibimbab and Japchae (the noodles were quite sticky). Our group did enjoy the food and left satisfied. However, the service could have been better. ”

“ Gaon at this location is split into two separate dining areas, one for BBQ in private rooms and another for non-BBQ dining. We tried the non-BBQ side, so I cannot comment on their BBQ options. We ordered the jjambbong and doenjang jjigae, and both were impressive. The jjambbong felt quite high quality, and the doenjang jjigae was also very good, especially compared to many Korean restaurants in Vancouver. I would consider this one of the top-tier Korean spots around the Metrotown area. The side dishes were also quite good. ”

“ The food is insane! I everything it was soooo delicious taht now we are looking to try their Korean BBQ for next time! And many side dishes! We were looking for try a new Korean Restaurant, and we have not regrets! We ordered : Gamja-tang Soup ( Spicy Pork Back-Bond). And Kimchi Jjigae soup ( spicy kimchi and pork). ”

“ Been here 3x this year getting the exact same order of seafood pajeon (pancake) and the Gamja Tang (pork stew, spices on the side). Most recent visit was not the best, the pajeon was cooked too much (the crispy pollock was hard and dehydrated) and the underside of the pancake was also burnt. The soup stew didn’t seem to have the usual rice cake included, just the potatoes and yeah it was not the same great experience the first 2 times dining in at lunch (spring, summer). This consistently good thing was the banchan (side dishes) and that pot of oolong tea (my favourite). ”

“ Decent Korea restaurant with a very eclectic menu, nice atmosphere. Personally found the pork bone soup to be a bit bland for my liking.but the short ribs was the favourite. Will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu. ”

“ Comforting korean food done well! Come with plenty of tasty banchan. My belly was very happy. The seafood pancake was packed with seafood and was delicious. All the food came quite quickly. They also have a side of the restaurant that does korean BBQ which we'll definitely need to come back to try. ”
